The Calm of Martial Arts

It doesn’t matter which art you talk about people more than not link the arts with the physical aspect of it without ever looking to the greater part of the arts. Throughout our training we learn to disciplined, structured and calm. The ability to remain calm allows rationality in thought allowing us to be calculated in our movements and decisions, the ability to breathe normally, without which we would deplete our physical energies rapidly in turn causing panic and confusion. It is through continuous drills that we physically and mentally stress ourselves learning to overcome obstacles, learn from our failures and subdue our fears that we understand the calm that we can cultivate in our own selves. I have continually stated that we need to train in a way that will enhance all of us, strengthen our bodies as well as our minds. train in various ways and styles that will give you the tools to accomplish the physical and emotional enhancements for our betterment. Put yourself in uncomfortable situations in your trainings and learn to overcome them. Martial arts are a way of life it is full of lessons, triumphs and failures it is the ability to remain calm that we can hopefully overcome every obstacle we will face. Understand that being a martial artist and taking classes are two very different things. Understand as in the arts as it is in life learn that there are no promises of never losing only learning that it does not mean we are defeated is the key.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu

Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art focusing primarily on grappling and ground fighting. It utilizes natural body leverage and proper technique to obtain dominant control on the ground and, as a result, provides a greater position for striking or submission holds.

 

When used correctly, this practice is an effective method for dealing with bigger and stronger opponents. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu focuses on using strength and technique in the most efficient way possible to control and overcome opponents of greater size, strength, and aggression.

KIDS BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

Our kids' BJJ classes will teach your child more than just self-defense. They will help develop their character, self-esteem, and respect.

 

Jiu-Jitsu are non-striking self-defense martial art systems based on leverage and control over the opponent.

Karate (Traditional)

We teach a traditional Karate program. It incorporates the applications of the movements, sparring, and weapons from several Okinawan Karate systems.

Pankration

Pankration is a sport derived from ancient Greek Olympic sporting events. It means "all powers." Now a modernized version combines striking, grappling, and submission techniques.

 

The USA Federation of Pankration Athlima recognizes our certified Pankration training system. Training consists of Mixed Martial Arts techniques: Pankration, Boxing, Grappling, and more.

 

Certified and current competing Black Belts will guide you through this experience of something out of the ordinary grappling arts.
